Graduation Day at Dominion Spring International School (DSIS) is one of the most exciting and memorable events of the school year. It is a special occasion held once every year at the end of the third term to celebrate pupils who have successfully completed important stages of their learning journey. On this day, our Foundation 3 pupils are joyfully promoted into the Basic classes, while our Basic 6 pupils, having successfully written their Common Entrance and Federal Examinations, are celebrated as they prepare to begin a new chapter in Secondary School.
The ceremony is always colorful and filled with happiness as parents, teachers, family members, and special guests gather to celebrate with the graduands. The event usually begins with an opening procession, prayers, and welcome speeches from the school leadership. Pupils present beautiful performances such as drama, cultural displays, songs, poetry recitations, and dance presentations that showcase their confidence, creativity, and growth. Awards and certificates are also presented to recognize excellence, hard work, and outstanding character.
One of the most touching moments of the day is when the Basic 6 graduands deliver farewell speeches, sharing their experiences, cherished memories, and gratitude to their teachers and classmates.
